Information life cycle
Introduction
Information lifecycle configuration is an essential security feature in CheckOP that allows you to define how long data will be retained in the system. This feature helps to manage information storage, comply with data protection regulations and optimize platform performance.
Function Location
This functionality is located within the Security Administration module, accessible from the CheckOP administration panel.
- Log in to CheckOP with administrator credentials.
- Navigate to the Security Administration section.
- Locate the Information Lifecycle Settings option.
- Select Configure Information Lifecycle Time
Configurable Parameters
- Retention period: Defines the length of time for which different types of data will be retained in the system.

Types of Managed Information
Lifecycle configuration affects different categories of data within CheckOP:
- Customer and location data: Information about customers and their geographic locations
- Task Logs: Details of operational tasks and their execution
- Forms data: Information captured through custom forms, including text, photos, videos, and documents
- Action history: Records of activities performed in the system.
System Behavior
When the data reaches the end of its life cycle according to the established configuration, the system can perform different actions:
- Archive the information for historical queries
- Delete the data from the active system
- Apply anonymization processes according to the configured policies.
